Indian Pogostemon deccanensis (formerly known as Pogostemon erectus) forms dense groups of light green, coniferous-like stems. The plant can be used as a background but is also very suitable as an eye-catcher in smaller or larger groups. The intense green color is especially good for highlighting red plants planted next to it. In good light conditions, the compact shape is maintained for a long time and easily, due to the plant's moderate growth rate and strong root system. The group quickly becomes very dense and should be thinned out regularly. The cut shoots willingly form side shoots from the bottom, just as implanted top shoots willingly form new roots and grow further.
