Femund flex1 lightweight Pants

Norronas lightest and most breathable outdoor pants.

These lightweight, softshell pants are made for general outdoor and hiking and work well for other activities such as dry weather skiing or mountaineering.

The main fabric is a high-quality flex1 softshell fabric, and we use this material because it offers excellent movement, durability, windproofness, high breathability, and effective moisture transportation.

The fabric is an 86% recycled nylon and 14% elastane double-weaved flex1 fabric 125 g/m2, perfect for year-round use. It is treated with PFC-free DWR to provide extra water repellency.

Key features include: A Custom-Fit waist System, mesh-lined ventilation from the hips to the knee, hand pockets with a zippered closure, a zippered thigh pocket, back hem tightening, and a gaiter hook to connect the pants to your shoes.

These pants have a regular fit with articulated knees to improve mobility during vertical movement.

Use and Performance

PERFORMANCE

5/6 Windproofness: 100% windproof products, but slightly lighter and less rugged than category 6. Keeps you protected from the wind except under extremely demanding conditions with very strong wind and cold temperatures. Due to the lighter constructions, these outer layers will lay closer to the body and not provide the same shield performance as category 6.

2/6 Waterproofness: Cotton and natural fiber products that have been treated with durable water repellent. Will withstand small amounts of rain. If worn outside in the winter, they will not absorb that much moisture. If it is re-impregnated, moisture will pull less upwards and inwards.

2/6 Insulation: Stay warm during breaks or take some activity at +15 to 0 degrees Celsius. It is not very insulating but is made of materials that provide some insulation properties due to air pockets in the fabrics.

5/6 Breathability: Outer layers that offer effective moisture transportation, good breathability, and quick-drying properties. Ventilates well and provides good sweat transportation during medium to high-intensity activities.

5/6 Durability: Outer layers that tolerate though use over excessive time. With a little care and love, they will last for many, many years. Most of our 3-layers belong to this category and will cover any need for an intermediate to an active outdoor lifestyle.

Technical Fit

Typically made for mountain biking or mountaineering/climbing. The fit is made for perfect balance between allowing a layer underneath and following the body shape, and not restrict movements when climbing/mountaineering or mountain biking. And not getting stuck in crampons or the bicycle chain or seat.

Fit under the pants: Different thicknesses of mid layers, preferably with slim or technical fit.
