Why Use Jelly Pots

Keeping your feeder insects in good condition means that when you give them to your pets, you are ensuring they are getting a fantastic source of the vital vitamins and minerals they need to maintain health and condition.

Jelly pots have traditionally been used to provide moisture to livefood but these new Bug Booster pots from ProRep also include calcium lactate, an easily absorbed form of calcium that will increase their nutritional value.

How To Use Jelly Pots

Using jelly pots couldn't be easier. Simply peel back the lid and place the in the livefood tub. 

Jelly pots can also be used directly in a bioactive enclosure, or one with lots of live plants to discourage the feeder insects from eating all the fresh greenery you've decorated the tank with.

Remove any uneaten jelly pots after a couple of days to prevent contamination.

Can Reptiles Eat Jelly Pots

Some reptiles like Crested Geckos, Day Geckos and Anoles will happily lick jelly pots and they can be fed as a treat or as part of a varied diet. Place the jelly pot in a shallow dish to help prevent contamination, or use a specialised jelly pot feeder.

The calcium rich Bug Booster jelly pots are supplied as a pack of 8 inside a cardboard box. The box and the jelly tubs themselves are recyclable, check your local area to see if the plastic film lid is also recyclable.
