This is the Lutron RA2 Select 5 Amp PowPak Dimming Module (0-10V), and it's all about connecting your 120V standard electrical circuit to those 0-10V lights. Specifically, it’s perfect for Cree LS Series Linear Fixtures.

The setup looks like this: 120V line feeds into the PowPak, then 120V and 0-10V wiring connect to the fixture or fixtures and daisy chains from there.

It's not just limited to Cree LS fixtures – it can handle any 0-10V dimming light fixture out there. So it will also work on the DMF commercial series or the DRD Series. It can handle 5A, meaning you can connect it to quite a few fixtures. The high-lumen output LS8 draws about .77A, so this PowPak can control 6 of those fixtures.

It can be installed in an accessible attic space above the light, attached directly to the light and visible from the ground, or located in an accessible location closer to the electrical panel. The further you place the PowPak away from the fixture, the more 0-10V wiring you will have to run. It's designed to pair up with a Lutron Wireless Pico and/or the RA2 Select Hub. They'll team up and give you the control you want.

Think of these PowPaks as your zone control for the garage. Usually, you'll have 6-10 light fixtures per zone connected to one PowPak. The Pico Wireless Dimmer is what controls the PowPaks. If you want more control points or different presets, you can connect multiple Picos.

If you want to avoid dealing with multiple zones, no worries. You can connect multiple PowPaks to a single Pico and have just one dimmer.
